Lauren has over a decade of experience exclusively practicing family law. She is a Certified Family Law Specialist by the State Bar of California and holds a mediation certificate from the Center for Negotiation and Dispute Resolution at UC Law San Francisco. She earned her J.D. from UC Law San Francisco and her B.A. in Anthropology from UC San Diego.
Lauren brings an insightful and practical approach to her work. She prioritizes what matters most to her client and balances pragmatic problem-solving with strong advocacy. Her practice includes both mediation and litigation, and she is well versed in all aspects of marital dissolutions, such as property division, child custody and visitation, child and spousal support, and domestic violence. She is experienced in drafting and negotiating prenuptial and marital settlement agreements and represents clients in negotiations, hearings, and trials. She practices throughout the Bay Area, including San Francisco, San Mateo, Alameda, Santa Clara, Contra Costa, and Marin counties.
Before co-founding Kreitzer Sadler Birnbaum LLP, Lauren ran her own family law practice in San Francisco, served as a senior associate at a respected family law firm, and interned with the San Francisco Unified Family Court.
Lauren is active in the family law community. She was named Settlement Officer of the Year by the San Francisco Unified Family Court in 2025, where she regularly volunteers her time. She is currently serving as Secretary of the Family Law Section of the Bar Association of San Francisco and is a member of the Association of Certified Family Law Specialists. She has also served for several years as a pretester and grader for the State Bar’s Family Law Specialist exam.
Originally from Monterey, California, Lauren has lived in the Bay Area since 2010. Outside of work, she enjoys cooking and spending time with her husband and two daughters.
