Liat Sadler is a Certified Family Law Specialist* and partner at Kreitzer Sadler Birnbaum LLP in San Francisco. She represents clients in high-asset divorce, complex property division, child custody, and child and spousal support throughout the Bay Area, including San Francisco, Marin, Sonoma, Napa, Alameda, San Mateo, and Contra Costa counties.

Liat is an experienced family law trial attorney with a particular focus on breach of fiduciary duty claims in complex divorces. She has represented clients through contested hearings and trials involving mismanagement and nondisclosure of marital assets, self-dealing, and other breaches of fiduciary duty between spouses. She brings the same rigor to negotiation, mediation, and collaborative divorce.

Liat has practiced family law in San Francisco since 2011. Before law school, she managed a nonprofit organization in the Bay Area and worked as a legal assistant. She graduated cum laude from Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law on a full merit scholarship. During law school, she served as a law clerk for a federal magistrate judge in New York, a federal Special Master in Washington, D.C., and the New Jersey Division of Law. She also holds a Master's degree from the London School of Economics and a B.A. with honors from the University of Michigan.

From 2013 to 2015, Liat served on the Executive Committee of the Bar Association of San Francisco's Family Law Section as Education Chair. In that role, she organized seminars for family lawyers on bankruptcy and family law, complex tax issues, computer forensics, child sexual abuse in custody cases, and recent changes in domestic violence law. She has taught family law trial lawyers about appeals for the Bar Association of San Francisco and the State Bar of California.

Liat was born in Israel, grew up in Dallas, Texas, and has lived in the Bay Area for over 20 years. She is fluent in Hebrew. She loves to run, spend time with her family, and practice mindfulness and meditation, which she brings to her work in family law.
