Matthew Peterson has been a law clerk at Kreitzer Sadler Birnbaum LLP since 2024. He works closely with the firm's partners on divorce, custody, support, and property cases, from discovery and financial disclosures to court filings and trial preparation.

Matt came to law school already knowing family law. Before law school, he spent four years as a legal assistant in San Diego, most recently at Moore, Schulman & Moore, APC, a family law firm. There he drafted court forms and pleadings, tracked case deadlines, and managed client files. He also built billing tools for attorneys serving as Minor's Counsel.

Matt earned his J.D. from UC Law San Francisco (formerly UC Hastings). He holds a B.A. in Digital Media and Critical Theory from New York University. Before his legal career, he worked as a production engineer and project manager in New York, managing production schedules, quality checks, and process documentation.
